Sandro Bosticco has spent more than three decades at the heart of Italy’s wine world—tasting, teaching, writing, and working with producers from Piedmont to Puglia. His name is synonymous with deep knowledge, no-nonsense expertise, and a lifelong passion for telling the real stories behind Italy’s wines.
Born and raised in Italy, Sandro began his journey in hospitality, quickly rising through the ranks of some of the country’s most respected restaurants and wine cellars. But it was his relentless curiosity—and his talent for translating complex wine concepts into clear, memorable language—that led him to education.
Over the years, Sandro has taught thousands of students across Italy and internationally, from young sommeliers just starting out to seasoned professionals looking to deepen their regional expertise. He’s known for his rigorous palate, sharp sense of humor, and ability to cut through wine-world jargon to focus on what really matters: soil, grape, climate, and character.
Sandro has consulted for wineries, curated wine lists, written for leading food and wine publications, and served as a judge in international wine competitions. His perspective is rooted in tradition but never stuck in the past—he keeps one eye on the evolving landscape of Italian wine and isn’t afraid to challenge trends when they drift too far from the vineyard.
And a wild motorcycle driver! We had fun!
